My sister’s boyfriend beat her up and no one will help.

My sister (17f) has been in a relationship for about 7 months. We live in the UK. He’s always been a bit pushy, but I’ve always been suspicious and I wanted to protect her. She’s my little sister, 16 years between us. I’m 33f. <br><br>She is also a very special needs girl. Her boyfriend is 19. <br><br>Yesterday she rang me to say that he’d beaten her up. She’s got a broken nose, black eyes, cuts on her face. <br><br>She told me she can’t take him to court because he will lose his job and college place and he’s the breadwinner, she’s disabled, she can’t afford to live on her own, he’s also the one who looks after her. <br><br>I know this is terrible of me to say but, I wish my parents were still alive so I could talk to them about this. My mother passed away when I was 11 and my father died a year after I was born. <br><br>I told her to just stay at my place and that I would handle it. <br><br>I have woken up at work and I am a keyworker, if I take another day off, I will lose my job. <br><br>I am so so so angry and I don’t know what to do. <br><br>Please help.<br><br>Edit 1: I have called the police and reported what is going on. She told me she didn’t want to call the police but I told her that I have now called them and they are going to take him in for questioning. <br><br>Edit 2: I want to thank the hundreds of you who have messaged me, sent me concerned meme, and cheered me on. I took her to the hospital. She has been discharged. She looks awful. She will not make it to work tomorrow, I will take off work tomorrow and take her to the police station. I will post an update tomorrow. Some of you are saying that I am being a controlling boss by not wanting to take a day off. I am sorry but I am a single mum, I have two children, my mum in law is terminally ill and I have two jobs, I literally cannot afford to take a day off work. Thank you for your concerns.
