Males are brought up to be the ‘protectors’ of society - strong boys who look after the vulnerable. Traditional masculinity is built around the notion of making other people feel safe. Yes, ‘traditional masculinity’ is built around the idea of making people feel safe - to an extent.

Men have been conditioned to solely look out for other men. They don’t give a shit about the ‘vulnerability’ of others. Women, whilst being ‘vulnerable’, have always been fair game to be bullied, harassed, assaulted, belittled, objectified and shamed. The most vulnerable in society are always our most marginalised groups, which consist of women.

Women are not the problem; men are. Skinny men are a problem. They are a plague in society, tearing down anything that doesn’t fit into their narrative.

They’re the reason why it’s ‘sinister’ to look at a photo of a woman and compliment her. Why everything a man likes is hypersexualised and fetishised, but heaven forbid a woman finds something about a man attractive. Heaven forbid because, apparently, that’s fetishising them. Heaven forbid because men don’t deserve to feel ‘uncomfortable’ or ‘fetishised’ - that would be ‘sinister’.

Heaven forbid that a woman likes - I don’t know - skinny men. But *gasp* we can’t say that because that’s fetishising. That’s ‘sinister’. After all, men have spent the entirety of my life telling me how ‘sinister’ they have felt when a man complimented them. How ‘uncomfortable’. How ‘fetishised’. How ‘hypersexualised’. Yes, ‘traditional masculinity’ dictates that men should never feel uncomfortable or fetishised - that’s reserved for women.

Fuck skinny men.
