Why is breastfeeding not considered "work" in the US?

Purely because your employer doesn't pay you to do it. <br><br>In my mind, breastfeeding is labor. But unpaid labor.<br><br>Do you feel like that should change? Do you feel like the steel industry should continue to get paid for manufacturing but manufacturing milk should not?
