I’ve never seen anything like what I am seeing on my current vacation

I’m a Canadian currently on a road trip in the US. I’ve had no issues whatsoever on previous trips, but this trip has been completely different. <br><br>I’ve been stopped at by police or deported by police four times already. I drove past a police car yesterday and the cop quickly did a u-turn to pull me over. I don’t know what I was guilty of, but he asked me what I was doing in the area and then quickly let me go. <br><br>I was driving down the street and saw 2 cops parked on the side of the road. They quickly did a u-turn and pulled me over. I don’t know what I was guilty of, but they quickly let me go. <br><br>I parked at a bus stop to grab a coffee. I was approached by a police car and asked what I was doing in the area. I was handed a ticket. <br><br>I walked into a restaurant and was asked for my id after I had already sat down, which has never happened to me before, not even in my own city. <br><br>Previously, I’ve walked into restaurants in the US and the service has always been top notch. On this trip, I was sat at a table, asked for my order, and then completely ignored. <br><br>I went to the bar at a restaurant and was completely ignored by the bartender. So I ended up leaving. <br><br>The first night of my trip, I was at a restaurant and I saw a guy get beat up by the bouncers because he was asking for his id back. <br><br>There’s been several instances where I’ve been stopped and then let go or completely ignored at businesses. The people in the area are acting like they’ve never seen a Canadian before. <br><br>I’m starting to feel uneasy and anxious about being stopped. I have all of my paperwork with me, but I’m starting to think that maybe I should just cancel the trip. Frustrating thinking that I won’t be welcomed back here after this is all over.<br><br>The only thing that has changed in regards to my trips is my haircut. I usually have long hair and now I have short hair. <br><br>So I’m wondering, has anyone ever had an experience like this?
