Microsoft enters bid to buy Pinterest

Microsoft Corp. has explored an acquisition of Pinterest Inc. in recent months. Talks so far have been preliminary and it’s unclear if they will lead to a deal. Pinterest has a market value of around $51 billion after the close on Tuesday. A deal of that size would be one of the largest acquisitions in Microsoft’s history, dwarfing its LinkedIn purchase.
