For those who are wondering, we're mid 30s.

We were in a relationship for ~10 years before tying the knot this month. We've dated for long enough, traveled together plenty in India. This was the first time both were were traveling internationally together. She is extroverted and the more outgoing one, while I am more introverted and prefer spending time alone with her.

We landed in Berlin and left the city in 2 days. Spent the next 3 days in Prague and 2 days in Vienna. We traveled from Berlin to Prague on bus and the remaining 2 legs by train.

**Summary:**

* We had a great time traveling together. We also enjoyed the train rides and bus rides a lot.
* Despite the language barrier, we never had any issues with people. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
* We also had a blast eating at the local restaurants. We were not disappointed at all. I'm not a big fan of food, while my wife is. She had a wonderful time.
* There were fewer brown/black people as we headed from Berlin to Vienna. I was a bit apprehensive, but we never had any issues.
* Most restaurants stay shut on Sundays. I wasn't prepared for this though. The places we visited were quite far from our place of stay too.
* Hotel staff are not very friendly. They were also not very helpful.
* Got conned by one street food vendor in Prague who asked for money(2 times) and didn't give us any change.
* Met an Indian in Berlin who was working in BMW in Munich. He was of the opinion that the only Indians in Berlin are students.
* Tipping is not very prevalent. Also, not many places accept cards at all.
* The local market (Christmas markets) near to our hotel in Berlin was empty and had very very few stalls. The one in Prague was very good.
* The best beer I had was in Berlin.
* My wife thought the Czech beer was trash compared to the Indian beer. I found it better than the Indian beer. I would give it a score of 6/10.
* Czech restaurants have great customer service. My wife had a great time there. Food was great too.
* I expected fewer Indians, but there were a lot of Indians everywhere.
* My wife was slightly disappointed that the cities were not very clean.
* My wife had a bit of trouble understanding the pronunciation of German.
* She got conned by the street food vendor in Prague. There was a board with prices outside the shop and she confirmed as well, but he asked for more money and she gave it.
* And then she over tipped him by giving him a 10 Euro note in addition to a 50 Euro note.
* Met an Indian origin person in Prague who was working in Brno. He said there are a lot of Indians in Czech Republic and Brno is <5% Indian.
* European cities are extemely walkable.
* There were fewer brown/black people as we headed from Berlin to Prague to Vienna. There were a lot of students/tourists managing the restaurants and cafes.

**Stuff we liked about Europe:**

* The Ubers were in Mercedes and BMWs.
* Metro trains were very sleek. I've never seen metro trains like that in India.
* Beer is not as smooth as the Indian beer, though.
* The roads were very very good.
* Felt a bit weird smoking in public. I smoke 10 cigarettes a day. The cities we visited had plenty of Indians as we'll.
* Restrooms were generally very clean. Some of the restrooms were pay and use. We were not prepared for this.
* My wife had a great time at the Christmas market in Prague.
* My wife loved the food.
* The people were generally extremely friendly.
* We found the public transport very efficient. We were not prepared for the trains shutting at 11PM though.
* Got European SIMs for both and the plans were very cheap.
* We found the cities quite safe. My wife went for a walk alone at 9PM and then she asked me to join her and I went alone at 10PM.
* We visited a shopping mall in Prague and the mall was very beautiful and well done.
* The cities were very beautiful and well done.

**Stuff we didn't like about Europe:**

* The hotel staff were not very friendly.
