Hunter x Hunter is the same story we've been told since 2012

Like a drug addict I've stayed in this addiction because I'm hoping for that first high I experienced when I was very new to anime. <br><br>After 10 years of nothing but unfulfilled promises and a bunch of filler arcs like Greed Island to stall for time, I just don't know if I can tolerate this any more. The story is about a young boy named Gon who tries to find his long lost father by becoming a Hunter. <br><br>That plotline has been established for years now. And the story still hasn't moved that far from it.<br><br>I am thankful for having seen a few arcs like Chimera Ant because the story was moving forward. But now, it's just treading water while Togashi tries to finish his fight choreography. <br><br>He's still proud of his fight choreography, and still not putting the main story of the boy trying to find his father. That's honestly just ridiculous.<br><br>This anime is a bit of a lost cause but I just want to express my disappointment and how long it's been since we actually got any story progression.
