The Mughal Empire was one of the most advanced empires of its time. Their art, architecture, and engineering skills were highly advanced. Their army was highly trained, well organized and equipped with the latest in military technology. Even European observers were amazed at the skill and bravery of the elite Mughal warriors, who were trained from childhood to obey without question. They were more disciplined than any European army at the time, and even the best trained Prussian troops of Frederick the Great could only dream of having such highly disciplined warriors. In fact, Mughal discipline was so well trained that Indian troops made up the bulk of the French army in India, even though the commander in chief was French. Even the best trained British troops could not defeat the Mughals at their peak.

The Mughals were also very rich, and had no shortage of supplies. They had the best in technology, and had the best in terms of resources. So how did they lose India?
