Guns are not for hunting. Let me say that again, GUNS ARE NOT FOR HUNTING.<br><br>Edit: first off, thank you to the 5k+ people who upvoted this, and the over 700 people who subscribed to this sub. Welcome! Now, the reason I made this post is because there is a huge misconception about guns from people who do not know anything about them. Yes, guns can be used for hunting. Yes, there are specific guns made for hunting, but guns are not made for hunting. I made this post to vent a little bit of frustration. I got a message from a guy saying he wanted to buy a gun for hunting, and wanted to know what to buy, I messaged him my gun store recommendation, and some tips on purchasing a weapon, and he asked me why the gun store didn't sell any hunting guns, only "murder guns", as he called them. That pissed me off. Pretty much every gun can be used to hunt with, and most guns are not designed to specifically go around and kill people. Yes, some guns are made for that, but that's not what the average person buys when they buy a gun.<br><br>Now, on to the real post:<br><br>Guns are not for hunting. Sure you can use a gun to hunt, and many people do, but guns are not for hunting. A gun is more than just a tool to go out and kill animals. If you have to defend yourself, a gun is the best, and usually only tool you can use to do so. If you want to go to the range and shoot some targets, a gun is what you need to do that. Don't get me wrong, hunting is a great reason to buy a weapon, and many people do, and there is nothing wrong with that. But a gun is more than just a tool for hunting. A gun is a tool you can use to defend yourself, and the one's around you. A gun is a tool you can use to go to the range and have some fun, or practice with. A gun is a great tool to have, and there are many reasons to buy one. Hunting is just one of the reasons why you should buy a gun.
