My husband told another woman that he loved her…..

My husband is a great guy…married for 13 years. Our whole marriage pretty much sit at home, watch tv, work, go to bed. Never go anywhere or do anything. I love him, he’s made me happy…he’s a great dad. About 2 years ago he had a major company event (not usually our thing to attend but this one was local) and met another woman that was the spokesperson for a major tech company. They hit it off immediately. I do not know this woman, but she is attractive and seems very smart. Anyways…from that day forward my husband seemed different. He would talk about this lady all the time. I finally had enough and told him he need to stop talking about this lady or their friendship would end. He told me that he loved this lady and I should get to know her so we can become a little family. Okay…so I made an effort to meet her. We met at a restaurant for lunch….and had a wonderful time. I was actually impressed with how smart and funny she was. After lunch, she asked if she could call me (an old high school friend kind of thing). I said of course. Anyways….over the last year, my husband has been to so many of her events. I’m talking 15-20 different tech conferences…she went to him to speak to our congressmen…even to the olympics. Every time she would be with him. At first I thought maybe it was for business reasons, but it seems excessive. Last night..he was supposed to come home from a business trip (she was speaking at a conference in LA). He didn’t come home and I finally figured out that they booked 2 rooms and she was in his room. I’m heartbroken. I’m not mad at him, I’m mad at her for leading him on. He is the sweetest man in the world, but not the most smartest. I honestly don’t know if he realizes that she took advantage of him. Am I dumb for being so surprised??
