The cost of getting my own place is ridiculous for a single person, should I just buy my parents house?

My parents are looking to downsize to a smaller house and I was thinking about buying it from them. I make good money, but I don’t feel like I’m old enough to secure that big of a loan. I know it sounds a little strange but I don’t want to pay double the price for a new house or keep renting.
