Why does my boyfriend of 6 months still have a photo of his ex girlfriend on his phone? I found a photo of his ex girlfriend on his phone.

I (30f) have been with my partner (30m) for six months. <br><br>A few days ago when I was using my partners phone to look up how to make some sort of food I came across a photo on his phone of his ex girlfriend that he had obviously recently taken. We have been together for six months and we live together, I was very shocked to see this photo. The photo of her looked like she was in my partners home, standing in the bedroom with a smile on her face. <br><br>I have never been more shocked in my life, I have never heard of a person still having photos of their ex girlfriend on their phone when they have a current partner. I felt like I had been punched in the gut. <br><br>I confronted him about it and he told me it was no big deal because it was just a photo and that he didn’t feel like he needed to delete it, and I could see in his eyes he was annoyed that I had looked on his phone. I asked him why he still had the photo, and he told me that it was just a normal photo and that he still liked to have photos of his ex girlfriends. I asked him if that was ok, and he said yes. He said that he didn’t like to delete anything on his phone, and that he liked to have all of his photos and everything on there. <br><br>I then asked him if he still had feelings for his ex girlfriend and he told me no, he said that he is happy with me and that I don’t need to be concerned about that. I asked him if he misses her and he said no, and that he is happy with me and that we have a good relationship. I told him that I don’t feel safe with him still having photos of her on his phone, and he told me not to be silly, that it’s just a photo and it doesn’t matter. <br><br>I’m scared to be with someone who keeps photos of his ex girlfriend on his phone. I’m terrified to see more photos of her on his phone. I feel like I am in some kind of strange nightmare, and I don’t know if I should stay with him.
