I’m 13 and I’ve been having a pretty weird thing happen to me. So I sleep over my grandma’s house at least every other weekend, and almost always in her basement. The basement has a loft up above it where she stores her boxes and things she doesn’t need to keep out. But the loft isn’t actually a real loft. It’s a piece of plywood that she put across the top of the wall so you can walk up to the other side of the room and not have to go all the way around to the bottom. The wall between the loft and the room isn’t solid, it’s just a thin plywood, and there are some holes in it where I can see through it if I try. The wall is also really thin, I can put my hand through the holes and feel stuff on the other side of the wall.

I started sleeping over my grandma’s house when I was 7, and I was scared of the dark for a long time. So I’d stay up late every night until the sun went down, just so that it would be light and I wouldn’t have to be scared of the dark. And then when I got older I got more scared of what was out there (like ghosts) because I was closer to the wall. And then when I was about 12, I started having these weird dreams, and they’ve been happening almost every time I sleep over.

I wake up in the middle of the night and I’m scared, and then I look over to my grandma’s bed and I don’t see her. I’m really scared and I start to go to her and wake her up and make sure she’s still alive, but I’m too scared to get out of bed and go over to her bed. So then I look back at the wall between our two beds, and I see a shadowy figure on the other side of the wall.

Then I look over at the wall where the loft is, and I see another shadowy figure. I’m scared and confused and I don’t know what to do. So I turn around to the other wall of the room, and I see a dark figure standing in the corner. I’m still scared, but the dark figure in the corner isn’t as scary as the two figures I saw on the wall and in the loft. I get up and go over to the corner, and I see a black cat. He’s a stray cat that my grandma adopted a long time ago and she hasn’t found a home for him, so he just lives there. She has some toys and some cat beds and stuff for him to sleep on, but I’ve never really seen him there before. And I don’t know what those other two figures were.

So I don’t know if it was just a dream and it wasn’t really there. Or if it was real, what the heck were those things.

Anybody have any thoughts on it?
