I stole an elderly mans car, drove it to a chop shop, then when I was leaving I got a ride from a police officer.

When I was 17 I used to hang out with a lot of shady people, this one guy I knew had a connection with a chop shop and told me if I stole a car for him he’d give me $300.<br><br>He told me the type of car he wanted because apparently they specifically look for certain parts. It was a Sunday evening and we were hanging out, I was waiting for this guy to give me the list but he was busy trying to get head from his girlfriend. Around 10pm he tells me how to get in touch with the chop shop people and tells me he’ll let me know the next day what kind of car they needed. I’m already drunk and high so I decide I don’t wanna wait and go out and steal any car that looks old.<br><br>I drove around and found a little old man, probably about 85 (not gonna lie I chose him because I thought it’d be an easy steal since he’s old). He parks his car in his driveway and goes inside so I walk up, try the door and it’s unlocked. The keys are in glove compartment, I don’t remember what make and model it was specifically but it was like a 3 series BMW. I take the car drive it to the chop shop.<br><br>I’m not gonna give the address to protect the guilty, but it was basically some guys house that had like 10-15 cars in his yard that were being stripped for parts. It was pretty damn blatant but fuck it money is money right, I drop the car off and one of the guys walks me through this neighborhood to a busy street where I can catch a bus or get a ride. I stand there on the street for a few minutes, a police car drives by me and stops, they ask me what I’m doing and why I’m out so late. I play it cool and tell them I was out with my friends drinking and got kicked out and they give me a ride to my car ( Had my friends car that night since mine broke down and he lets me borrow it when I want).<br><br>I don’t know how I wasn’t nervous, but I literally walked into the passenger side of the car telling the cop where to drop me off. So yeah that’s my confession. Not like the cops are ever gonna find me with this but whatever.
