Why is it so hard to find full length mirrors in hotel rooms?

Recently stayed at a 5 star resort in Australia and still managed to find myself struggling to find a mirror that was full length, had decent lighting and was located where I had enough room to move around and not feel claustrophobic. All I wanted to do was check my outfit before heading down for dinner.

Why do hotels always put full length mirrors behind doors? Or inside closets? It makes absolutely no sense.

For me, a full length mirror is a basic amenity that I don’t believe should be too much to ask for.

Am I just getting old and cranky and want everything? Or am I missing something?
