Honestly is anyone surprised that firms that are mostly reliant on H1B visas are the ones laying off the most Americans?

Genuinely speaking, I'm not surprised companies like Microsoft, Google and Amazon are laying off tons of Americans as they can blame the recession while continuing to hire H1Bs.

I don't have a problem with H1Bs that much (I think they're not being used right) but these companies really abuse the H1B system of hiring cheap labor. It's kind of interesting that they're laying off Americans who are the people most loyal to these companies (the average American will choose to use Amazon or Google over anyone else) but they'd rather hire cheap foreign labor.
