Microsoft-backed group says Google antitrust case is already moot

An advocacy group backed by Microsoft Corp said on Wednesday that the U.S. government's antitrust case against Alphabet Inc's Google is already out of date and that the government should question Meta Platforms Inc and others as part of its investigation.<br><br>The government filed its lawsuit against Google in 2020 during the Trump administration, and made amendments to it last year, arguing that the search and advertising company broke antitrust law on several fronts. The case is currently on trial.
