Do other professions have to tolerate the type of disrespect we do?

While collecting the reassessments, someone tried to open the side door of my classroom. I was busy inside with students and couldn’t answer the door so I said, “I hear that you’re trying to get in my classroom”. The early thirties woman said, “I don’t care if you hear me or not, open the fucking door”. I told her she can wait a few minutes until I finish with students, and she said “I don’t fucking care what you’re fucking doing, open the fucking door, I don’t care about you or your fucking job”. I told her, “I didn’t catch your name” and she said, “My name is_______ _______and you’re fucking lucky I’m not your fucking principal or I’d fucking fire you”. I opened the door and told her she can talk to the principal. The principal did nothing.
