I think my dad is human?

I have never posted here before but I'm convinced that my family and I are actually living in a real life simulation or that my dad is actually from this other reality- whatever it is it doesn't matter. Just listen to this one story. My dad and his father were from a small town in Texas (I'm not from around here) and growing up he always used a lot of the same phrases over and over again whether he was happy, sad, mad, or excited. This was interesting but I never thought much of it. I think I was about 14 (I'm 27 now) when he and I took a plane to visit my brother who is away at college. Anyway we finished our bags and were waiting at the gate when he started to get agitated. He looked at me and said "I'm gonna go talk to them about it" and I was like what- but he was already gone. He walked up to two random people and said "excuse me. I smell smoke. Is there a smoking area somewhere?" Now to me it sounds obvious but I swear neither of us smelled any smoke. I might have been distracted but I don't remember- but I don't think he was lying. The two people looked at each other and one of them pointed to a small closet in the corner of the room. In the corner of the room was a small door that was clearly locked. It didn't even have a handle, just a lock. But my dad goes up to it and opens the door and inside was a small room. I didn't see it for myself but he told me later that it was a small room with a ventilation shaft, a very small table, and two chairs. In the center of the table was an ashtray with a burning cigarette in it. I don't know how long he was in there but he came back out and said "oh, they said they moved the smoking area so people wouldn't have to walk a half mile to get there" and I was like "where?" And he pointed to the small closet room he was just in. I swear to you from that day on at least half of the people waiting by the gate were walking into this locked room that none of us could open. From then on during every flight he would go up to random people in there and ask them the same thing and they would always tell him the same thing and he would go into the secret room. We only stopped flying when the pandemic hit so I don't know if he still does this today but I think he might.
