CMV: If a person is not capable of supporting themselves financially and is chronically homeless, they should be forced into a work camp.

This is a pretty extreme and unusual belief I've come up with. I don't see this as a political belief, more of a human belief. Just to be clear I am not suggesting a forced labour camp like those the Nazis ran, this is something totally different. I have seen with my own eyes how well-run rehabs can totally turn people's lives around. What I am suggesting is essentially a forced rehab camp where people who are chronically homeless are given a place to call home (similar to a kibbutz) and in return they are required to do some form of work (e.g. agriculture) to help run the facility in return for a small wage. If they behave and stick to the program, they would be allowed to slowly leave the facility and go back into their normal lives after a year or so. Based on my knowledge of the economic cost of homelessness to society, I believe running such facilities would actually be cheaper for society than letting the homelessness problem continue to persist. I also believe that such facilities would be a much more compassionate and effective way to help people than what is currently being done (which in many cases doesn't appear to be working).

The information I can find seems to suggest that the biggest causes of homelessness are lack of a support network, low mental intelligence, and drug addiction. I believe these are all problems which can be dealt with given the correct environment and training.
