Is it wrong that I find the fact that the dude who went missing with his friends and his family is missing his family so much more than his friends?

I've been following the story of the dude who was missing with his friends, and he was just reunited with his family, he just found his way home and he's safe. He was so happy to be reunited with his family. I feel like that's so weird because I feel like if I was missing, I would want to see my friends first. Like my friends are like my second family.
