I’ll try keep this as short and concise as possible.

I’m HIV negative. My wife is from Africa and came here to study in the UK.

We have been living together for over a year and have had unprotected sex on multiple occasions.

Recently, my wife told me that she is HIV positive.

She said she has had it since she was a teenager and that the medication she takes has never stopped her from spreading it.

I have never had any sexual contact with anyone else and have never had unprotected sex before my wife.

I am still in a state of shock. My wife has not tested her for anything other than HIV, so there is no guarantee that she doesn’t have any other STDs.

My wife says that I am safe, as she has been taking HIV medication for years, which prevents her from spreading it.

She also says that it would be safe for me to start taking the same medication.

I have tested negative for HIV, but I don’t know if my wife has other STDs.

What should I do?
