Just had the most awkward boarding experience

Hey guys I (Asian) just got back from a trip in Europe. I flew back through Helsinki, Finland into the US. (About 9 hours)<br><br><br>I’m flying back with my brother and we both are breaded to board the aircraft with our boarding passes in hand. We are allowed in and no issues. <br><br>I walk through security and begin walking into boarding our section of the plane. A flight attendant approaches our side of the plane and asks for my boarding pass. I give it to her and she looks at my brother and asks for his boarding pass as well. I hand her both boarding passes. <br><br><br>She starts to struggle and looks up at me and says “is your brother with you?” I was completely stunned at this question and was like “what?” And then I said yes, he’s with me. She just took our boarding passes and we continued on to get to out seats.<br><br><br>This wasn’t like “oh I accidentally did this” it was a very deliberate ask that was very uncomfortable for both of us. My brother and I were like “what the f just happened?”. <br><br>So weird. Anyways just had to share my experience but if this happens to you just smile, and just laugh it off and move on. <br><br><br>Question: why does someone get kicked off a plane for being Asian?
