Safest way to secure 22lr guns when they leave your house

I have 2 22lr rifles that are great for getting kids involved in shooting. They are easy to shoot and pretty much recoil free. But since they are the cheapest gun i own, i am worried they might get stolen. I live in a apartment and it's pretty much impossible to have a safe in my room. So when the kids come over, i have no good place to keep the guns. I don't want people to steal them and either keep them for themselves illegally or sell them. My dad keeps his 22lr in a safe, but it's not really and option for me. So I'll ask fellow redditors , what do you do? I do plan on buying a safe for my handguns, but the 22lr guns are the longest so i need to either get a bigger safe or a longer one. Knowing my luck, i would have to order the safe and it would get lost in transit. It would be great if i could do something to prevent people from stealing the guns in the first place.
