I am a father of three, and have 1 son (Adam, 14), and 2 daughters (Audrey, 10 and Abriana, 6). Right now all of my kids are in cheerleading. I started a cheer gym last year for them to be in. They all love the sport, all of them are in my gym, and all three have been with me since the start.

All three of my kids are amazing cheerleaders. Adam competed last spring and summer and now he's competing this fall and he'll be going to worlds this spring. He even got a full ride scholarship to his dream college. My girls cheer at my gym as well, and they were at level 3 last year but they're both at level 5 this year.

But I love my children equally and I want them all to have good experiences in cheerleading. Now I know what you're thinking, why am I writing this? Well, I'll tell you. Adam has gotten so many good things in cheerleading, but he's going away to a different gym and to an all boys team. It's a level 6 team so he'll get to move up a level, and he'll be at a higher level than his sisters.

So, Adam has gotten so many good things for him in cheerleading, but he's going away from my gym and to an all boys team. The team is level 6, so he'll be able to do more difficult stunts and tumbling, and he'll be at a higher level than his sisters. But, I will miss having him at my gym and seeing him compete. And, my daughters are happy for him, but they're also sad that he won't be at my gym anymore. I know that this is a hard decision, but I want him to have more opportunities and be at a higher level.
