How do I get my friend who can't stop talking back to sleep after a day of acid?

I did acid with my friend again today, and he's having trouble sleeping. He's a large dude and gets really paranoid with dextroamphetamine. He starts talking really fast and having trouble sleeping. I've had a good time, but I've been feeling normal for the last hour or so. I have 2 options to try and help him get to sleep, one is to chill with him until he can relax and the other is to do some xanax with him to help. I don't want to do the xanax because I'll be hungover and he'll still be up all night. Thanks in advance for the advice.
