I thought this was a decent topic to discuss. Here in Australia, we are approaching our federal election. I have noticed that people are erecting hoardings in their front yard displaying the political candidates they will be voting for. When you drive around, you can see different houses are all displaying different colours of their political party of choice.

The issue is that I have seen this happen to people I know. When I walk past a house, I have noticed that the hoarding has been torn down. Previously it was there and now that is gone, and it is not the owners of the house that have done it.

I can only assume that it is their neighbours who disagree and have taken it down. Do you think this is acceptable in the political world. Should people be allowed to do this?

Where I live, the neighbours are generally quite friendly and I wouldn't have thought it would happen. It makes me aware that there is a silent majority who do not display their political views openly and will actually do something about it if they disagree.
