How would you feel about a history book with the same approach as "The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" but focusing on the "Russian Federation (1991-2023)?

I believe that such a book would be possible, and a wondrous read, only after it had been established what happened at the end of "The Russian Federation" when the dust settled. However, how would you feel about reading about the history of the RF prior to that?
