I lied about liking my son's drawings.

My 4 year old son recently went through a phase of drawing pictures of the family and bringing them to me. I initially genuinely liked them, but as time went on and I started running out of wall space to hang them, I started to feel a bit overwhelmed. However, I didn't want to hurt my son's feelings, so I pretended to like all of the drawings he gave me, even the ones where everything was just scribbles. I would hang up every drawing he brought me, and when I inevitably ran out of space, I would replace the old drawings with the new ones and pretend that I was keeping the replaced ones in the recycling bin. In reality, I would throw them away in the trash, but I felt like it was the right thing to do to preserve his feeling of pride in his artwork and his enthusiasm for creating.
