The Xbox team is overhauling its player code of conduct, the way it enforces it, and the way it helps victims of harassment to make Xbox a more welcoming place for everyone. Xbox is updating its Universal Terms for the first time in nine years and restructuring its Trust & Safety policies into three pillars:<br><br><br><br>​<br><br>Xbox Ultimate Logo<br><br>Image Credit: Xbox<br><br>​<br><br>*Toxicity* - Some forms of discriminatory abuse, harassment, and hate speech will have consequences that are more severe, such as "a permanent suspension and device ban."<br><br>​<br><br>*Impact* - The Xbox team will prioritize focusing on the harm that a player has suffered as a result of another player's behavior. In the future, if someone is the target of abuse or harassment, they will be able to report it "easily and get support."<br><br>​<br><br>*Accountability* - Moving forward, suspensions and bans will be dealt with less severely. "We think our players deserve the chance to learn and grow."<br><br>​<br><br>Going forward, Xbox will use AI to detect hate speech and harassment and will have "humans review them to make sure we get it right". The Xbox team will also focus to help the person who is being harassed or abused. The company is also updating its Universal Terms for the first time in nine years, and restructuring its Trust \& Safety policies into three pillars "toxicity, impact, and accountability".
