We have to raise awareness about being a victim in the first place

I posted it on r/Israel on the last conflict, but I feel it's necessary to raise awareness here.<br><br>It's disrespectful to be like:<br><br>*"Jews are being bombed and it's terrible, obviously, **but we need to protest the impending second intifada now**"*<br><br>*"Gaza is firing rockets on Israel, it's terrible, **but it's obviously being exaggerated and we need to make sure it stops first and then Israel won't retaliate**".*<br><br><br>We have to make sure to raise awareness on **being the victim** first and show sympathy. It's incredibly disrespectful to have the attitude of *"yes it sucks that you're in the situation, **BUT**..."*.<br><br>Would you say *"it's terrible that you were raped, **BUT** let's first check the facts"?*<br><br>You. Have. To. Let. People. Be. Victims. First.
