This is the first post I've written here in a while. I don't generally write for people who haven't watched my Phillies coverage, but it's time. All of you, including Phillies fans, have shown support on my content, and that's what I want to talk to you about.

Last night, I posted that I'd be covering the World Series for this sub (it's the last thing the site needs right now), but that's not going to happen. Today, I found out that I owe a fuckton in taxes this year. In order to afford them, I'm going to have to keep working as I have.

I've been covering this team for the sub for eight years. I've put in 1,000s of hours, and it's the most rewarding thing I've ever done. I've experienced a World Series win, a World Series loss, and met tons of fuckin' idiots along the way. I've grown up and become the person I am today as I've covered this team. I'm going to miss it.

Over the last few years, I've been moving away from this sub. I've been covering my relationship with my mom as she has become more ill. I've been documenting her for the last two years, and I think it's something I should be prioritizing over baseball and politics. It would be unfair to her to give this coverage second fiddle as she moves through the last stages of her life.

I'll be back in the future. I promise you that. I'm not going to miss a World Series win. I'm going to miss fuckin' idiots along the way. I'm going to miss the people I've met who have become friends. I'm going to miss a lot as I move on from this. But I have to.

Thank you.
