Am I a normie if I try to make friends with other normies?

Pretty much I love anime but I also love football. I love anime merchandise, but I also love video games. I fit just as well in a football stadium as I do at a anime convention. I’m proud of who I am even though it’s a complexed identity. But I’m curious, what if I try to connect with normies? Would I be a normie if I do?
