Anti-Gun Politicians Really Need To Get Better At This

Personally I'm a fan of the "common sense gun safety" crowd. They want to ban "assault rifles" or if they're really on it, "assault-15s" ("assault-15s" are my personal favorite). Then there are the ignorant tds suffering gun grabbers who want to ban "military grade assault rifles" or "military grade automatic assault rifles". You know, the type that are removable from a foreign national's corpse.

However my favorite anti-gun politicians are those who want to ban "high power, high capacity magazines" Because ya know, you never know when an upstanding American citizen with their head screwed on, might just accidentally blow up a school, kill 20 kids and ruin their career.

But since I live in the shithole that is New York, we have to put up with the "3 round capacity" or "10 round capacity" nonsense. Like wtf does that even mean? Did they really mean to say, "10 round magazines" or "all magazines with a capacity of 10 or more rounds"? If you were going to ban magazines holding 10 rounds, why on earth would you decide to grandfather in those holding 10 rounds but not 11? That's like saying only alcohol with an ABV of 10% should be illegal.

Furthermore, what about .22 caliber weapons that can hold 10-17 rounds? Is it illegal to possess a 15 round .22 because it "can hold more than 10 rounds"? Or should we just ban all semi-automatic .22s because the magazine on a Marlin 60 can hold more than 10 rounds?

One last thing, why 10 rounds? Why not 9 or 11? It's almost as if they pulled that number out of their ass. But in all seriousness, if the government really wants to ban "high capacity magazines", they should do it correctly, because lets be honest, it's not as if one gun or one magazine is more or less deadly than any other.
