The major reason I won’t take my hole punched degree and teach in the states is because I don’t want to teach my students to praise and honor slave owners and people who forced out Native Americans from their land.

I’m American, but live in Canada. I have a degree in education, and have a job overseas. After completing my masters I fully intend to relocate back to Canada. The educational system is so much better. I don’t have to teach my students to glorify this nation, and I don’t have to fear that my students may be deported at the end of the school day. <br><br>I’m just a teacher. I can’t change the system. I’m not advocating violence. I just want to make it clear to the people in power that this hole punched degree will take me absolutely nowhere in my profession.
