Being single and 40+ is so normalized but being single at 60+ isn't?

I was just thinking about how everyone says it's totally okay if you end up never finding a partner, you can just be single forever but I feel like past 60 that kinda attitude changes and everyone's like oh it's so sad how lonely you must be :(<br><br>I've seen this a lot with celebrities, as long as they're "still got it" and can have casual hook ups everyone's like oh how empowering but when they get older everyone's like poor [name] they're so lonely.<br><br>I feel like a lot of people who are happy being single earlier in life will still be happy being single later in life and the attitude people have towards older people being single is kinda sad.
