Why is this sub so full of people obsessed with true crime?

I genuinely can't understand it. What drives someone to make a whole community out of talking about murder, rape, and other horrific acts?<br><br>This sub is literally 80% true crime and it makes me really uncomfortable to see it grow so much. I want to get involved and be part of this community but the constant true crime talk is a turn off. <br><br>Is anyone else put off by how much true crime content there is here? I'd like to see more other topics posted here.
