Michael Collins, a NASA astronaut, witnessed the launch of Mercury-Redstone 3 (Freedom 7) on May 5, 1961, when Alan Shepard became the first American in space. On July 21, 2011, Collins was present at the Kennedy Space Center to witness the final launch of the Space Shuttle program with STS-135 Atlantis. This makes him the only person in the US to witness both events.

What are your feelings on NASA?
