How do I deal with my parents?

It’s literally nothing. I was driving with my mom and she’s complaining about something. Then my dad starts to take her side and says something like “I think she’s just mad that you’re wearing nothing but a t-shirt and shorts” when I’m driving. He’s complaining about how my legs aren’t covered, when his legs are uncovered too. Then he starts to say something along the lines of “be more discreet if you’re gonna walk around like that”<br><br>I don’t get the big deal. I was wearing a shirt and shorts and the a/c was on. This is literally the exact same thing I wear everyday to school in the 100°F+ weather, and I get no grief for it. I’m an adult now. I don’t get why they care about what I wear. I honestly don’t give a shit if they find it unacceptable. I’m gonna wear whatever the hell I want. If they don’t like it they can fuck off. But I need help on how to deal with this situation. Should I just put my foot down and tell them to fuck off, or should I just be quiet and avoid it? I feel like telling them to fuck off would be better.
