My school board just voted to let teachers carry guns (concealed) in the classroom. I’m not sure if I’m comfortable carrying.

Here’s the thing: I’m comfortable with guns, but I need to take a class to get certified. The class is expensive and I don’t want to shell out the money. The school board says they won’t pay the training fee for us, but they will pay the cost of the gun if we decide to buy one instead of using our personal guns.

I don’t want to use my personal gun because a) I keep it locked up at home and b) it’s a pistol and I don’t want to carry it around.

On the other hand, I don’t want to buy a new gun and have to worry about keeping track of it at school. I would also need a whole new holster, etc.

So: gun money, but no training money.

Thoughts?
