Steroids for guns?

I’m a beginner shooter, I bought a 9mm pistol and a 308 rifle. I shoot them regularly at an indoor range. But a friend of mine thinks I should try an AR, so he asked if I ever wanted to shoot his AR while we’re at the range. I’ve never shot one, never even held one, so I said sure, why not. <br><br>I put my rifle down and went over to his lane and shot his AR, and it was a night and day difference from my rifle. The recoil was non existent, I mean maybe I just held it correctly, or maybe it was the weight and design, but it felt literally like I was shooting my pistol, it just went pop. And I swear my groups were way tighter, it probably just felt that way but it was crazy accurate. <br><br>So now I’m regretting buying my rifle. It’s just a Remington 783 and it works great, but now I’m seriously considering an AR. What do you think, pros and cons, should I get one?
