What is a common legend or ghost story that people in your area believe in?

I live in the USA, in South Carolina, Columbia, and I know that there is a legend of the Tunnels of Tapps, in Lexington South Carolina. Tapps is an Elementary school and somewhere in the 70s, a girl was playing outside the school with her sister and fell down into a hole and broke her back, and the principal at the time told the teachers to tell the kids that the girl went to a different school, but some kids were saying that they saw the girl in a wheel chair and the teachers were saying, “Oh, she went to a different school.” But really what happened was that the girl fell down into a hole and broke her back and she had to use a wheel chair for the rest of her life, and she was not allowed to talk to anyone at the school.<br><br>And the legend says that if you walk to the spot in the playground where the girl feel and say her name three times, then she will appear in front of you and ask you why you disturbed her.
