An app that gives way more legitimacy to online reviews. Here's how it would work

An app that gives way more legitimacy to online reviews. I forgot the name of the app I’ve been dreaming up, but suppose we call it REVIEWF.

Ok, imagine you post a review somewhere for a doctor, restaurant, or even a business, and the REVIEWF app recognizes that you posted that review and asks you to link your REVIEWF profile to the review.

The first time that you link a review to your profile, the app asks for you to enter in the name and phone number of the business.

Then, the next time you post another review, the app checks your location, and sees if you post reviews for businesses that are around the same location (I.e. a neighborhood or road) and asks you for info based on your “expertise” in the area.

For example, let’s say I’ve posted 100 reviews for businesses on Sansome st in San Francisco. If I write a review for my new barber in the city, you’d get a notification like “you’ve written 100 reviews in this area before, are you a local…you’re opinion might count more than others!”. You can choose from choices like “I am a local” or “I work nearby” and the app will then connect your location reviews in your profile.

On your REVIEWF profile, it would show that you’ve written reviews for 100 businesses in that neighborhood. You could then attach this profile to any review you write on any platform, and it will show the credibility badge(s) that you’ve earned.

I cannot imagine how much more legitimate your opinions would be if people could actually see that you’ve lived or worked in a certain neighborhood for years. I imagine that if 20 reviews were written for a business, and 5 of those reviews linked back to REVIEWF profiles that showed that they were a local, lived or worked in the area, those reviews would be considered much more credible than the 15 reviews without any credibility badges.
