ChatGPT is a cognitive underbrush clearer?

ChatGPT is a very useful tool, but I'm starting to think it is quite underwhelming. The GPTs are useful and disposable tools that will make life easier and remove the boring parts of mundane tasks. But current the capabilities are very limited. And it requires a lot of time to use them effectively. I think it is overkill to compare gpt to calculators. I think it is more comparable to google. When you write an essay or a text, AI is good tool for a the half-baked ideas but not much. You need to use your own thinking and research to filter out the nonsense it produces. <br><br>But once the AGI makes the leap and surpasses human intelligence it will be a good tool not a useful tool. Because at that point you won't have to use your brain anymore. You will be able to rely on it and trust it and you will be able to use it to do anything with relative ease.
