What the hell is going on with weed prices on the American black market?

I have been smoking some serious bud since 2014 when I was 18. The weed has always been good, nothing to complain about. <br><br>Since 2014 prices have gone from a blunt for 7, to 5 for 20. It was never sticky, it was never wet. It was just raw weed that would make you high. <br><br>Fast forward to today, i haven't smoked weed in 2 years. I haven't bought anything in a very long time. I was looking for bud and had a friend of a friend hook me up with some weed. I had about 13 blunt sized buds of weed for 46 dollars. <br><br>There was 2 buds smaller than the rest, so I thought maybe the guy was giving me more than 13 blunts. So I thought it was 13 blunts. <br><br>While I was mimicking how the buds would look if I bought from my old supplier, I noticed that each bud from my old supplier was a lot smaller now. So I took 3 buds from the new guy and weighed them, one at a time. So I figured out 1 bud from the new guy was a little more than 3 bud from my old guy. <br><br>I took 5 buds from the new guy and weighed them. 1.05 grams. So 1 bud from the new guy was 0.21 grams. <br><br>So we realized that each blunt from my old supplier was one bud. <br><br>I asked the guy if he could get me more and he said yes. So i bought 5 grams of blunt sized buds for 100. 46 dollars for 1.05 grams and 100 dollars for 5 grams, so the weed was 46 * 5. <br><br>I took 5 buds from the 5 grams. 5 buds were 1.08 grams. 1.08 / 5 = 0.216 grams per bud. <br><br>Weird, 3 buds from the 1.05 grams was 0.21 grams. Then I wondered if the 5 grams had 25 buds. 5 / 0.21 = 23.81. So lets round that to 24. <br><br>I didn't buy 5 grams of weed. I bought 24 blunts for 100 dollars. <br><br>So now blunt from my old guy is 7.75 a blunt. A blunt from the new guy is 4.17 a blunt. I don't know the potency of the new guy, but it didn't feel different than the old one. <br><br>Does anybody know what the hell is going on with the weed prices? Why is it so cheap? Has it been cheap for awhile? I haven't looked at the prices for 3 years. I would love to know what other people are paying. I'm from the northeast. <br><br>Weed is not legal in my state. Just decriminalized. So I'm buying black market weed.
