Need help with my fantasy currencies

I’ve been having a hard time with the fantasy currencies in my story. Any help you can be is greatly appreciated! <br><br>I’ve currently decided on gold, silver and copper. Silver is the most commonly used while gold is the most valued. I’ve also somewhat decided on their values and what they look like. I just don’t know how to make them seem real to my readers. <br><br>As you may have guessed, I’ve been inspired by the A Song of Ice and Fire series and the Harry Potter series. I understand that this is very basic and cliche, but I’ve been mentally preparing myself for my story for months now and this is the first thing I’ve really struggled with. <br><br>I don’t want to just copy and paste from either series but I don’t know where else to turn. Any help or resources you can give me would be greatly appreciated. <br><br>Also, if you have some information on other currencies, for example iron, bronze, nickel, lead, or even just other names for gold, silver, and copper.
