Even if you are religious, you need to understand the Christian Right is not working for you as much as they are working for their donors

This is a special message for religious people. Specifically, Christians in this case. The Christian Right is not working for you anymore than the Democratic or Republican parties working for you. They are in someone’s pocket and are lobbying for what their donors want.

This isn’t about defending or attacking Liberals, Conservatives, or anybody else. It’s just about understanding policy and who is behind it, which is what this sub is all about.

I am agnostic. I don’t care what you believe, and this isn’t an attack on religion. The only prerequisite here is that you are open to understanding who is pushing policy and why.

The Right wants you to believe that the Left is made up of atheists that hate God. This is a deflection, and the Right is just as godless as the Left. They do not care about God. All they care about is growing their donor’s wealth.

Politics is a business, and policy is its product. If you believe God is important, the best way to defend God is to understand who is pushing policy and why.

Imagine you’re driving on the highway and you see a huge billboard with a Bible quote and a politician’s name at the bottom. Who do you think paid for that ad? Your average fellow Christian? Small Christian business owners? No.

Part of having a conscious mind is understanding that large corporations are not working in your best interests. Let that bleed over into politics. Politicians today are not good Christians, nor are they your advocates.

It’s like aiming a gun at yourself and saying, ‘Yay !’ Christians need to wake up.

Politicians are there to make their donors money, just like how the media is there to push a narrative that grows their subscriber’s wealth. Toward the end of this post, I will show examples of who donates to Christian politicians, special interest groups, and Right-Wing media, and it won’t be small Christians or Christian businesses.

Politics is a game of making their donors money, and it is not a Left vs Right issue; it is a wealth vs the rest of us issue. You can be a Republican or Democrat, but if you make less than $500,000 a year, you are not wealthy and you are being played.

I think the average Christian knows this, and I hope this post validates that feeling you might have in the back of your head. Politicians don’t care about you or God. All they care about is growing their donor’s wealth. Let that sink in.

Christians need to understand that they are just a demographic to the Right, just like how the Left has its own exploited demographics. The Right has Christians, Conservatives, Libertarians, and Republicans. The Left has Liberals, Progressives, Atheists, and Democrats. Republicans and Democrats are the same party so this is an act.

The Right-Wing special interest groups like the Heritage Foundation and Right-Wing media like OAN, Newsmax, and Fox are all about growing their donor’s wealth. They don’t care about you or your children. They are even more godless than the Left, because at least the Left isn’t using God to get your vote. The Right has no issue weaponizing your faith for their personal gain. They are toxic.

I’m going to show you how this works with some examples. The Right does not care about your children if a policy doesn’t grow their donor’s wealth. In fact, they would rather your children die than sacrifice their donor’s money.

The opioid epidemic is a good example. Oxycontin is a synthetic heroin pill. It is not as potent as actual heroin, but it has a longer high and is more addictive. Oxycodone is the generic name in the US, which is also known as Percocet when combined with acetaminophen. I’m sure you’ve heard of it in the news before. The reason you’ve heard of it is because it has killed an entire generation of Americans and is the leading cause of unnatural death for people under 50.

In 1995, there were 3 prescription opioid overdose deaths per 100,000 people. By 2000, that tripled to 9 deaths per 100,000 people. It has only gotten exponentially worse since. In 2018, there were 19 deaths per 100,000 people, which is roughly 6 times worse than it was when Oxycontin was introduced in 1996.

It was 1991 when the FDA first approved oxycodone in a timed-release pill, which was sold under the name Oxycontin by Purdue Pharma, the Sackler Family’s drug company. The drug was a sensation because it worked wonders in reducing pain. It was stronger than other prescription painkillers like hydrocodone (Vicodin, Lortab) or codeine.

The Right immediately shut down without a single dissenting Republican vote, a Democratic sponsored bill (HR 4398) to regulate how Oxycontin was distributed. Purdue Pharma was a massive donor to Right-Wing politicians, media, and special interest groups. This is why the Right was so ‘Christian’. It had nothing to do with God. It had everything to do with growing their donor’s wealth at the expense of children.

Toward the end of this post, I will show you a single donation of $3 million dollars from the Sackler Family to the Koch’s favorite Super PAC, and an even larger amount than that donated by the Sackler Family to the Koch’s favorite non-profit, which is the Heritage Foundation.

This is why the Right supported Purdue Pharma and didn’t care that Oxycontin was killing hundreds of thousands of American kids. These deaths aren’t just overdoses. Oxycontin is a gateway drug to heroin, which is more deadly. People who are prescribed Oxycontin, especially young kids, end up switching to heroin because it is cheaper and potent than Oxycontin.

Toward the end of this post, I will show how it was special interest groups and media outlets like Fox News and the Heritage Foundation that were taking massive donations from the Sackler family and other drug companies who sold opioid painkillers.

It was the Christian Right that allowed Oxycontin to be prescribed for 20 years without any restrictions, killing a generation of kids. They didn’t care about Jesus. They cared about growing their donor’s wealth.

The ‘War on Drugs’ was a bullshit lie. The Right was never about stopping drug use or protecting children. They are just a front for their donors. If you think the Right cares about children, just consider the 500,000 American kids that died from opioid painkillers.

The Right didn’t care about children. They were in the pocket of large drug companies that sold opioids, like Purdue Pharma, who made the timed-release Oxycontin pill. They are the ones who killed an entire generation of kids.

The right also didn’t care about how addictive Oxycontin was. They didn’t care that it was easier to get prescribed than heroin. It was a legal drug that could be prescribed for anything. There was no background checks. There was no testing to see if you already took opioids. It was a cash cow.

Considering how addictive Oxycontin is, there should have been all sorts of regulations and background checks.

The Right did nothing to stop it. They allowed Oxycontin to be prescribed with virtually no restrictions. They were in the pocket of Big Pharma, who made tens of billions from the addiction and death of kids and adults alike.

Of course, it wasn’t until the fallout from the opioid epidemic got so bad that the Right had to act. It was around 2010 or so when the opioid epidemic got really bad.

The Right had no problem with ignoring your children’s deaths for over 20 years straight. They didn’t care about your children. They only cared about growing their donor’s wealth.

The ‘War on Drugs’ is a complete joke. The Right doesn’t care about protecting your children. If they did, they would have done something about Oxycontin from the very start. They would have shut down Purdue Pharma or at least regulated how Oxycontin could be prescribed. They did nothing.

Part of having a conscious mind is understanding that large corporations are not working in your best interests. Let that bleed over into politics. Politicians today are not good Christians, nor are they your advocates.

It’s like aiming a gun at yourself and saying, ‘Yay !’ Christians need to wake up.

Christians know the Right is not perfect, but they are what we have. The Left is even worse so it’s better to stick with the Right. That is what Christians think. But if you are religious, you don’t want to be in the pocket of anyone. You want to be in God’s pocket.

I think the average Christian knows this, and I hope this post validates that
