Liz Cheney is the co-chair for the January 6th commission and Republicans just got dealt a huge loss

Lead by Nancy Pelosi, the new commission is composed of 13 members with 7 Democrats and 6 Republicans. <br><br>Democrats: Nancy Pelosi (CA), Adam Schiff (CA), Jamie Raskin (MD), Zoe Lofgren (CA), Elaine Luria (VA), Stephanie Murphy (FL), Pete Aguilar (CA), Liz Cheney (WY), Adam Kinzinger (IL), Bennie Thompson (MS)<br><br>Republicans: John Katko (NY), Liz Cheney (WY), Adam Kinzinger (IL), Chris Stewart (UT), Stephanie Bice (OK), Bryan Steil (WI)<br><br>Republicans thought they could water down the commission by loading it up with conspiracy theorists like Josh “Groyper” Taylor and Matt Gaetz. Republicans tried to get out of the commission by requiring it to end earlier, or requiring the approval of both sides (Republicans and Democrats) when issuing subpoenas, but failed on both fronts. Republicans are openly accepting the violence that occurred and have started to accept that Trump will run again in 2024, with every intention to hijack the election if he loses.
