My boyfriend [25M] keeps me [24F] from other men.

I've been dating my boyfriend for a few months now and I recently realized that he always keeps me from other men. We were talking and I realized that he intentionally keeps me from other men and I don't know if this is abuse or if it's just a culture thing. <br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Here are a few examples: <br><br>We were in a store and I was talking with another man, who we are good friends with and my boyfriend got mad and said I shouldn't be talking to him. He went and bought me a ring to show everyone that I'm his. <br><br>Another example is he said I need to stop being friends with guys and that I only need one man in my life. <br><br>He wants a 10 year age gap between us and since my current friends are around my age he says that I'm too old and need to be younger to have a 10 year age gap. He wants me to be with younger men so I can be seen as younger and he can be seen as older. <br><br>I don't know if this is just a cultural thing or if this is abuse. He's from a country with a culture that I don't know much about and since we just started dating I don't want to accuse him of anything without doing my research first. <br><br>I know that this is messed up and I'm talking with him about it, but I want other opinions first so I can have a clear idea of what to say to him.
