The religious right has hijacked the word 'Christian'.

People who call themselves Christians and actively advocate or support policies that are against those in need, the poor, women's rights, the care of the earth, universal healthcare, religious freedom (unless it's Christianity), etc. are not *really* following the teachings of Jesus. It is a perversion of his teachings.<br><br>You will know a tree by its fruit. They religious right produces bad fruit. It's time we stop calling them Christians because they are not.<br><br>I'm not saying someone who identifies as Christian is a bad apple. I'm saying someone who identifies as Christian but does not follow the teachings of Jesus is not Christian.
